Magazine Stories

I like writing books, but sometimes it's fun to write something short. When I feel like that, I write stories or articles for magazines like Faces, Cobblestone, Hopscotch, Boys' Quest, Fun For Kidz, Young Salvationist, Discovery Trails, Bread for God's Children, Primary Treasure, On-the-Line, Story Friends, Guide Magazine, Horsepower, Midwest Hunter, Appaloosa Horse Journal, Library Talk, Once Upon A Time, The Children's Writer, or The Writer's Journal.

Here's a very short article that was published in Story Friends.

MOO

What does a cow say?

Moo!
What does "moo" mean?
Probably "I'm hungry," because a cow's life is mostly eating and drinking.
A dairy cow is God's milk factory on legs. She can produce over 6 gallons of milk per day after eating about half a bathtub full of her favorite foods. Grass, hay, chopped corn, or a mixture of other grain such as oats are some of her favorites. She also needs half a bathtub full of water per day.
A cow's stomach has 4 parts. This means she can grab a lot of food without bothering to chew it. Her food waits in the first part of her stomach until she takes a rest. Then she brings the food back to her mouth for more chewing. No wonder it seems as if cows are always eating.
